Happy 2014

My first Crochet along is into week 4 and I'm loving it.

Make an Afghan in 45 weeks - One Block a week. Every week I look forward to seeing the next Block and spending a part of Sunday working on my Afghan without being overwhelmed by the idea of making an Afghan.

Check out the details at Block a Week  Mystery Afghan. You can still join us and catchup.

One tip use the same hook and weight of yarn throughout.
I am using the G hook and Red Heart super saver.
My Squares are 12". Your squares will be based on your yarn, hook size and tension but should all be the same size.

Here are my Blocks Week 1 to Week 4

Luv the Hedge Hog

Well I took the plunge and cut my hair short, short, short.

When my Husband saw it he said "I love it, you look like a hedge hog". Thus Luv the Hedge Hog was created.

I used worsted weight yarn and F hook
The body is in warm brown and the hair is ombré bikini. The nose is dark brown. The eyes are embroidered.

She is so cute and cuddly!

Thanks to Bru Bear for the starting point.

Baby Mobile

The Baby Mobile is made with Red Heart Super Saver. It will look great over the crib or on the wall. To hang on the wall using a flowerpot hanger will keep it in sight for baby and out of the way when you are attending to baby in the crib.

Sun Clouds Rainbow and Raindrops in bright colors will keep baby smiling!
